How to Enter

01.  Prepare information for entry

  • You will need to have:
  • Your company name
  • Brand name(s) of products and variety
  • Product name as you would like it to be published
  • State and Region
  • Type of closure (relevant for wine category only)
  • Drinking Window (from and to)
  • Vintage (relevant for wine category only)
  • Alcohol percentage
  • RRP $

02.  Register your account

  • Register your account details (or log in, if you already have an account).
  • Add company details (your producer name or subsidiary company name)
  • Complete all fields (phone, street address, suburb, postcode, state and country)
  • Please provide your subscription preferences

03.  Submit your entries

  • Add your company, brand name and product name/variety and confirm details
  • Entry Category - choose product type (Beer and Cider, Wine, Spirits or Non-Alcoholics)
  • Choose your sub-category and confirm details
  • For our wine, beer , spirits and cider categories, choose style and confirm details
  • Enter product information - state, region, closure (applicable to wine category only), drinking window, vintage, alcohol (N/A for non-alcoholics) and RRP.
  • Add your entry
  • When ready, submit your entry and pay using our payment gateway Stripe.

04.  Entry fee

  • Regardless of category, the fee is $95 exc gst for each individual entry.
  • Drink Easy is an Australian business and all prices listed are in Australian (AUD) dollars.
  • Only credit card payments are accepted through our payment gateway Stripe.
  • You will not be able to submit an entry without payment, every submission will receive a confirmation email with a summary of all entries within the submission. The confirmation email will also include a payment summary from our payment gateway Stripe.

05.  Please prepare and send your products

  • Your email confirmation will include a PDF link to download shipping labels. Please download the shipping label for the location you intend to send the products to.
  • Three (3) bottles or cans of each entry are required, regardless of corkage type for wine, cider, beer, mead, other fermented alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholics.
  • One (1) bottle of each entry is required for spirits.
  • Please affix a label to your bottles that includes your submission Entry ID number in a prominent position on bottle.
  • Please label each carton using our shipping labels.
  • Deliveries will only be accepted between 9am and 2pm Monday to Friday at our delivery locations.
  • Please do not submit mixed category cartons.
  • All state deliveries will only be accepted between Monday October 7 to Friday October 18 2019 between the hours of 9am - 2pm.

Terms & Conditions

  • Entries are open to Australian producers only. Only products that are made within Australia are eligible to enter.
  • All entries must be bottled or canned and labelled with the Entry ID number given at the time of submission.
  • All products must be commercially available in Australia.
  • There is no minimum production of cartons.
  • It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure correct details are provided.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries per producer.
  • All entries become the property of Drink Easy Pty Ltd once submitted.
  • The Drink Easy team including each head steward nationally reserves the right to transfer entries from one class to another class if deemed best fit for producer.
  • We require three (3) bottles of each entry for wine, beer, cider and non-alcoholics, regardless of closure type.
  • We require one (1) bottle of each entry for spirits, regardless of closure type.
  • Drink Easy Pty Ltd and Mona accept no responsibility for, and will not pay for, any freight, loss or damages. Under no circumstances will either Drink Easy or Mona or any employees be responsible for the late, non-delivery or mis-delivery of any entries.
  • Entry fees will not be refunded if an entry is not received by the due date, withdrawn by the exhibitor after entry, or if disqualified by the Head Steward(s). Entries can be added to, or substituted with another, prior to deadline, but not after.
  • Late deliveries will not be accepted.
  • The Judges decisions will be final, and no correspondence shall be entered into.

Privacy Policy

Entrant’s information is collected solely for purposes relating to Drink Easy. Contact details will be used to relay information relating to administration and advertising components of Drink Easy provided to the Chief Steward during the course of judging and used as a contact database for announcing the following year’s event. Information gathered from entrants will not be passed on to third parties. Any request to update, modify or delete contact details should be directed to the Drink Easy team.

Judging

Judges will blind taste submissions and select the best examples of each successful category individually. The Chief Judge will have the power to disqualify or dismiss any entry, which in their opinion does not meet judging standard. Such disqualification will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into unless otherwise stated.

WHAT IS THE COST TO ENTER DRINK EASY AWARDS?
The cost is $95+GST per entry.

WHEN WILL THE RESULTS BE RELEASED?
All results will be announced on Wednesday, November 13 in Melbourne and then will be available via Broadsheet Media and drinkeasy.com.au from Thursday November 14.

WHAT DO I RECEIVE FOR THE COST OF MY ENTRY?

  • Edited and endorsed tasting notes and feedback for each submission that each producer can use for any purpose.
  • All tasting notes and feedback will be a permanent and searchable resource available via Broadsheet Media and drinkeasy.com.au
  • Each of the category winners will receive a significant award from Drink Easy.
  • Continuous promotion throughout the season including editorial coverage on Broadsheet (reach of 2.3M).
  • Interviews and editorial on drinkeasy.com.au
  • Inclusion in the National Tasting/Events program throughout 2020 as well as the November 13 Awards launch party.
  • Branded digital assets provided to the finalists and winners as well as social media coverage across all Drink Easy platforms and national Broadsheet Media platforms.

I HAVEN’T RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION THAT MY SUBMISSION HAS GONE THROUGH, WHAT DO I DO?
Please check your junk mail, as your receipt of submission may have been sent there, but if not please email tamrah@drinkeasy.com.au

HOW DO I KNOW DRINK EASY HAS RECEIVED MY SUBMISSION AND PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE?
You will receive an email confirmation of submission which will include a payment receipt as well as delivery details and labelling information.

WHAT IS THE BEST BROWSER TO VIEW THE WEBSITE AND SUBMIT MY ENTRY?
We recommend modern browsers with Javascript and cookies enabled. We recommend viewing and submitting your entry in Firefox and Chrome.

CAN I EXCHANGE AN ENTRY AFTER I HAVE SUBMITTED?
Yes you can, as long as it is within the submission perimeters (between June 03 and September 27).

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.
Your payment will be processed through Stripe our payment gateway and you will receive a confirmation of payment in your confirmation email.

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT A BOTTLE IMAGE ON ENTRY?
No. Following the judging process, we will contact all finalists and request high resolution images.

I NEED TO WITHDRAW MY SUBMISSION, WHAT DO I DO?
Requests to withdraw an entry will be accepted if made in writing to tamrah@drinkeasy.com.au prior to the submission deadline of 27 September 2019, with refund of the entry fee minus processing fees. After this date and up until 30 September 2019 projects may be withdrawn but the entry fee will be forfeited.

CAN I PAY FOR ALL MY ENTRIES AT ONCE?
Yes, absolutely.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO SEND MY BOTTLES IN?
For all states: Deliveries will only be accepted between Monday October 7 to Friday October 18 2019 between the hours of 9am - 2pm.

HOW MANY BOTTLES PER ENTRY DO I NEED TO SEND IN?
For beer, wine, cider and non-alcoholics, we require 3 bottles per entry. For spirits, we require 1 bottle per entry.

HOW DO I LABEL MY SUBMISSION AND WHERE DO I SEND THEM?
Following your completed and paid submission, you will receive an email with a unique submission entry ID. Please put this code on each bottle for each entry as either a sticker or label and please use a shipping label to Mona, where all judging will be held.

WHAT IF MY BOTTLE LABELS AREN’T READY BEFORE ENTRIES OPEN?
As long as your entry has a ready label by November 13, we will accept your submission. Please adhere a label with your product details in addition to your Entry ID number on the bottle.

CAN I EDIT MY ENTRY ONCE SUBMITTED?
Yes. You will have to email tamrah@drinkeasy.com.au who will do this on your behalf.

IS IT $95 PER ENTRY ACROSS ALL CATEGORIES, DOES IT INCREASE FOR THE STYLE OF LIQUOR FOR EXAMPLE OR A PREMIUM PRODUCT?
The cost to submit is $95 exc gst per entry regardless of category.

I HAVE MULTIPLE ENTRIES TO MAKE ACROSS DIFFERENT CATEGORIES, CAN I DO THIS IN ONE SUBMISSION?
Yes, you can! Each entry will have a different Entry ID which will be emailed to you once submitted.
